BRANCH PROFILE
Venture Capital is the start of every Internet company. But the VC guys want to get out at some point so they go for the IPO. After the IPO investors have to pay a lot more for a share in the company so it would be nice to join the VC people. But that is expensive and difficult. Lucky for us there are VC's that enlist their own shares.
WHY INVEST?
Spreading your risk is easy by buying into a listed VC company. It is like a mutual fund so you will sleep better at night. Only problem: no one can put a meaningful valuation on this type of company so they will be volatile.
